CANWIN is a participant in the Citizen Weed Warriors, a program of the Municipality of Anchorage's Parks Department to control weed outbreaks in particularly vulnerable locations in the city.

EAGLE RIVER NATURE CENTER 2011 WEED PULLS

Saturday Weed Pulls - Just show up and bring gloves

July 2 from 3 PM to 5 PM (meet at Nature Center) July 9 from 1 PM to 3 PM (meet at Walmart)

Weekday Evening Weed Pulls (Locations TBD)

June 28, 29, 30; July 5, 6, 7 from 6 PM to 8 PM
Must e-mail naturalist@ernc.org or call 694-2108.  Evening weed pulls are cancelled if no one signs up.

 

 

Girdwood Weed Pull Tuesdays

There are also opportunities to join weed pulls outside the city of Anchorage.  To volunteer for Girdwood Forest Service area pulls, volunteer@weedwar.org. Please include your name and the number of people coming.  We'll confirm with additional details.
